Faraja Africa Foundation, in partnership with the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), European Union, GIZ, Akina Mama wa Afrika, EACSOF, Parliament of Uganda, and other regional stakeholders, is proud to announce the 8th East African Youth Parliament (EAYP), also known as Vijana Assembly 2025.
Since its launch in 2018, the East African Youth Parliament has become a flagship cross-border advocacy platform that amplifies youth voices in national and regional governance. It empowers young leaders with skills in policy dialogue, leadership, and multilateral cooperation, driving inclusive and sustainable development across the East African Community (EAC). This year’s theme, aligned with International Youth Day 2025, is “Youth Advancing Multilateral Cooperation through Technology and Partnerships”
We invite passionate, innovative, and committed young leaders from across the EAC to join us in Arusha, Tanzania, to shape the future of regional integration, democratic governance, and youth-led development.

Eligibility Criteria
You are eligible to apply if you:
- Are a young person aged 18–35 years by December 2025
- Are a national of any EAC Member State: Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, or Somalia
- Are passionate about youth leadership, governance, and regional cooperation
- Have valid travel documents (passport or national ID for Tanzanians)
