Project description
climate change has increased levels of uncertainty about our future. As its impacts intensify over time, one thing has become certain: We will leave the Earth to today’s children, young people, and future generations. The world is home to 1.8 billion young people between the ages of 10 to 24 — the largest generation of youth in history. Young people are increasingly aware of the challenges and risks presented by the climate crisis and of the opportunity to achieve sustainable development brought by a solution to climate change. Young people’s unprecedented global mobilisation shows their massive power to hold decision-makers accountable. Their message is clear: the older generation has failed, and the young will pay in full — with their very futures. Through our climate change program, the youth have been able to impact the environment and climate by preventing climate change in the following ways; the youth Participate in green initiatives around the region, engaging the government in different regions about the green initiative. Encouraging society to save energy at home by utilizing bioenergy. Engaging the community in using the 5 R’s, that is to say, Reuse, Refuse, Recycle,Repair, Rot. This teaches the people in society to have a responsibility to manage their waste responsibly.
