Project Description
The Tanzania Vijana Assembly is an invented space for the young people in Tanzania to mobilise their voices and advocate for issues that concern them to the Bunge (Parliament) of the United Republic of Tanzania. Through various programs like the East Africa youth entrepreneurship and Vijana assembly, Tanzania is a host country partner state with joined forces that network and implement the organisation’s visions and missions. FAF country office has strong partnerships with youth-led organizations, governments and youths in 18 regions. VIJANA ASSEMBLY TANZANIA: Building up to the East Africa Youth Parliament, Tanzania, like any other regional organization, uses the bottom-up approach to influence representation in the Youth Parliament. The 25 regions in Tanzania are selected respectively, considering their diverse environments and inclusion to participate in the Vijana Assembly through the hybrid method.
In Tanzania, Vijana Assembly has been in support by our long-term partners, Tunaweza Organization and Success Hands Initiative, in coordination to amplify their voices and write resolutions at the national level before entering the East Africa Youth Parliament.
