Under this pillar, FAF supports youth participation in decision-making processes. This is done by creating functional platforms for young women and men 18-35 years to advocate and engage in key decision-making processes in democratic and governance processes at community, district, national and regional levels for social justice. Some key interventions include capacity building of young leaders, creating awareness and advocating for women’s rights and human rights enforcement in East Africa, conducting consultative meetings at national and regional levels, increasing e-governance engagements and creative advocacy through digital storytelling. Coordinate and convene the national and regional Youth Parliaments (Vijana Assemblies) in Africa and regional blocks such as the EAC (i.e., East African Parliaments).
